Learning Software Independently in Homeschools
I first discovered Lynda.com when I needed to learn to use InDesign to do the layout for a Spanish curriculum I wrote. I spent 30 hours watching Lynda.com videos and then proceeded to successfully create a layout for my 250+ page curriculum. I was so excited to have the ability to do this task independently and easily thanks to the amazing step-by-step training I received at Lynda.com. I have gone on to learn to more effectively use Excel and Word as well as numerous Adobe programs including Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Recently I've been researching Open Source (free software) and learning to use content management systems such as Joomla. I am always impressed by how much I can learn and put to immediate use through the Lynda.com video training program. I am absolutely a fan for life and I want to ensure that homeschool families hear about this great resource.
